ABOUT TTP

We created an online space to unite various national and international innovation actors and ecosystems.

What can academia offer? What does the market need? How can we bring a culture of innovation to both? At TTP, we want to understand in practice how we can improve our platform to solve these issues.

FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

This is a list of some of the common questions asked of us regarding innovation, technology transfer and international trade.

UNIVERSITIES / RESEARCH CENTERS

There are a few ways that we can help:

  • Portfolio of the intellectual property that is available to license at your university
  • Showcase – an area where you can highlight recent awards, new laboratories, or research teams available for contract research
  • Open Innovation Challenges – respond to challenges posted by companies and governments
  • Outreach – the team at TTP will go to market with your projects, bringing new partners into your private Collaboration Space

TTP can help your university incubator by:

  • setting up pilot projects for your spinoff’s / startups at companies
  • identifying funding opportunities for your startups

LARGE COMPANIES / ENTERPRISES

We can help connect you with universities that have applicable applied research and spinoff’s / startups that may be of interest.

As well, we can help organize events to help identify new talent and new ideas to help solve the problems facing you and your clients.

If you provide us with information regarding your investment mandate, we can help pull together possible startups that could fit your criteria.

In addition, we can help you host events online as a way to attract international startups that are looking to enter your market, such as a Startup Demo Day.

Yes.  Our founder grew up in a rural area, and it is his personal mission to help communities in rural environments develop sustainable initiatives that have a positive impact on the environment and community.  Some of our current pilot projects with universities that are located in ecologically sensitive areas such as the Amazon rainforest.

TECHNOLOGY AND INDUSTRIAL PARKS

Utilizing TTP, one way would be to give them an online environment where they can freely interact, make suggestions on different community projects.

Another way is to organize online events that are livestreamed, so that community members who cannot attend, can view a recording later and provide input after the fact.

Yes, we can give you all of the tools to run a hybrid conference that will be available to people who can attend in-person and online.

Reach out to us about setting up a demo to show you how we can set that up for you.

OTHER QUESTIONS

No, you do not need to know how to write or speak in English.  TTP is a multilingual platform – this means that you can login and work in your native language, and interact with people in their native language.

We are working on access to TTP for startups and SME’s that are not associated with a university.  For now, we recommend that you join the waitlist and we will email you once we are ready to launch.

If you don’t, someone else will.

For large companies, innovation could be as simple as collecting and evaluating ideas from all aspects of the organization (front-line to executives), or organizing an online hackathon based on the needs of your organization or your clients.

For SME’s, it can mean doing contract research with a team at a university that can help develop a prototype or improve upon an existing prototype…while utilizing additional funding or tax credits available to you.

For governments, it means running experiments on  new initiatives that could have a positive impact on your community.  It could be something as simple as a weekly “Open Coffee Club” or a community hackathon to solve pressing issues.
